A: God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one and the same. If you refer to Him differently (Father, Yahweh, etc), it doesn’t change who you are praying to. It is not necessarily what name you use but how much meaning you put with the name.
If you want something from your Mom, you call might call her by a different name. When your parents chastise you, they tend to call you by your full name, rather than saying “honey” or some other endearment. When you just talk to your aunt, you can be more familiar; but, when it comes to asking for something, you show more respect—changing how you refer to your aunt.
You get the picture right? “A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.”
There is a reason that some will say that you need to know the names of God. If you ask for healing, you can call Jehovah-Rophe; when you need saving, call Savior; when your mind blanks, call whatever come to mind (Oh God, Dear God tend to cover emergency tight-spots for me). Some of the names of God are the same: Adoni is Lord in Hebrew. One friend put it this way: when you need someone to climb a wall call Spiderman, not Superman.
But it doesn’t matter what by what name who call Him, He is the same all-powerful God.
